Boštjan Vasle took up the position of Governor of the Bank of Slovenia

Boštjan Vasle was appointed by the National Assembly on 19 December 2018 at the proposal of the President of the Republic of Slovenia. As a new member of the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia he is taking over the position today. This fills the seat in the five-member Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia, which, in addition to Vasle, is comprised of Vice Governors Dr Primož Dolenc, Irena Vodopivec, Marko Bošnjak and Jožef Bradeško.

Boštjan Vasle was confirmed by the National Assembly in a secret ballot with 51 votes in favor. He became the fifth Governor of the Bank of Slovenia after France Arhar, Mitja Gaspari, Marko Kranjec and Boštjan Jazbec. The term of office of the Governor is six years, and may be reappointed.
