IMF Staff Report in the context of the 2014 Article IV consultation with Slovenia
The IMF team visited Slovenia from 2 to 12 December 2014.
Under Article IV of the IMF’s Articles of Agreement, the IMF holds bilateral discussions with members, usually annually. During these consultations assessment of economic and financial developments and discussions on country's economic and financial policies take place. The IMF follows the principle of transparency concerning the publication of all relevant information on member countries that would be of interest to the public. In accordance with this principle the IMF, after the Executive Board discussions of Article IV consultations with member countries, publishes relevant reports and recommendations that are followed up by individual member countries.
On 13 February 2015 the IMF Executive Board concluded the 2014 Article IV consultations with Slovenia.
Additionally, the IMF published Selected Issues Paper on social spending reform and fiscal savings in Slovenia, structural reforms to support Slovenia's recovery and legal and institutional challenges in corporate insolvency.
