Bilateral meeting of senior leaders of Banka Slovenije and Banco de Portugal

Banka Slovenije liaises with other central banks in order to exchange views of the current and anticipated economic situation and the situation in the financial system. In this way we deepen our understanding, exchange examples of best practice, and strengthen cooperation.

The members of the Governing Board of Banka Slovenije thus held a joint session today with members of the board of directors of the Portuguese central bank (Banco de Portugal). They discussed the macroeconomic situation and monetary policy responses, developments in the banking system, and the challenges in the area of macroprudential policy. The talks also covered the importance of financial literacy, and the role of the central bank in this area.
