Banka Slovenije received 67 reports of breaches via its reporting system last year

Under Article 269 of the ZBan-3, Banka Slovenije publishes a report on potential and actual breaches of the regulations referred to in the second paragraph of Article 9 of the ZBan-3. In the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023 inclusive, Banka Slovenije received sixty-seven reports under the breach reporting system. In seventeen cases, potential breaches of the ZBan-3 or other regulations under its remit were found; in line with the reporting system’s rules, thirteen reports were dealt by Banka Slovenije in accordance with their jurisdiction and four reports were forwarded to the European Central Bank (ECB) for further resolution. Forty reports related to questions and reports by consumers, which do not fall within the scope of the reporting system and are being dealt with by other departments at Banka Slovenije. Ten reports were deficient and could not be addressed.
