Monetary policy meeting of the Governing Council being held in Slovenia today

Members of the Governing Council of the ECB are today continuing their meeting, which is taking place in Slovenia at the invitation of Banka Slovenije. The ECB Governing Council  consists of the six members of the ECB’s Executive Board and central bank governors of the euro area countries, among them Boštjan Vasle from Banka Slovenije.

In the afternoon at 14:45 CET Christine Lagarde, President of the ECB, will hold a press conference together with Vice-President Luis de Guindos and Governor Bostjan Vasle to present the monetary policy decisions taken at today’s meeting. The press conference will also be streamed on the Banka Slovenije website.

Governing Council meetings are usually held in Frankfurt, but once a year they are hosted by one of the central banks of the euro area countries; this year it is Banka Slovenije.
