Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group

The 2024 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) is taking place from Monday, October 21 to Saturday, October 26.

In the role of the Governor of the IMF's Board of Governors, Governor Vasle will attend the meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), which meets twice a year during every Spring Meetings and autumn Annual Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank.

The IMFC will discuss current developments in global economy and international financial markets, economic fragmentation, and in this light, commitment to international cooperation to improve the resilience of the global economy and build prosperity, the completion of the PRGT Review, the completion of  Review of Charges and the Surcharge Policy, which reduces the cost of borrowing from the IMF, and approaches as a guide for further quota realignment under the 17th General Quota Review. The IMF’s Global Policy Agenda will also be presented. Governor Vasle and other Slovenian delegates with also attend a number of other multilateral and bilateral meetings.
