Spring Meetings of the IMF and the World Bank Group

Marko Kranjec, the Governor of the Bank of Slovenia, will attend the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group in Washington, D.C. from 19 to 21 April 2013.

Among the main topics to be discussed at the meeting of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), which will be attended by Governor Kranjec, are developments in the global economy and on the international financial markets, forecasts of future developments and possible policy responses. The programme also includes discussions regarding the IMF’s Global Policy Agenda.

In Washington, Governor Kranjec will attend a number of bilateral meetings with representatives of the IMF and the World Bank Group, including Nemat Shafik, Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, Reza Moghadam, Director of the EU Department, Johann Prader, Executive Director of the IMF, Antonio Spilimbergo, IMF's Chief Mission for Slovenia and representatives of other international financial and banking institutions.
