Decisions adopted by the Governing Board on the occasion of its 310th regular meeting:
- In its today´s 310th session, the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia inter alia dealt with monetary and economic developments. Monthly inflation rates have been quite volatile in recent months, marked with strong seasonal and other upward and downward fluctuation. Year-on-year inflation rates should also tend to continue to decrease at the year-on-year level in May. According to the data of the Statistics Office of the Republic of Slovenia, the year-on-year price growth rate of April only amounted to 1.2 per cent, in exclusion of the prices of fuels and energy.
The euro rate fell to 239.614 SIT/EUR at the beginning of May, decreasing below the central parity by 0.01 per cent, whereas on average staying above the central parity by 0.04 per cent in February and March, and by 0.02 per cent at the end of April. - The Bank of Slovenia will put gold commemorative coins and silver commemorative coins on sale and into circulation on 23 May, 2005, issued upon the 100th anniversary of establishing the Slovene »Falcon« Gymnastics Association and upon the 100th anniversary of the Slovene film industry. Circulation commemorative coins of a denomination of 500 Slovene tolars will also be issued upon the 100th anniversary of the Slovene »Falcon« Gymnastics Association. All the aforementioned commemorative coins are legal tender in the amount of their inherent par value.
