Press release from the meeting of the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia of 3 February 2009

1. At today’s meeting the Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia was briefed on the current uncertain economic and financial conditions, and approved the release of the January 2009 Economic and Financial Developments. 

2. The Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia was briefed on current banking operations and developments on the capital markets. 

3. The Governing Board of the Bank of Slovenia granted payment system participants authorisation to design the SEPA internal credit transfer payment system. Bankart, d.o.o., Ljubljana, Payment instruments processing, was granted authorisation to manage the SEPA internal credit transfer payment system, with regard to the calculation of mutual claims and liabilities between payment system participants.
